Catching up on America

9 days since my last post and a lot has happened in America that I want to cover.  So this post will hit the top events going on and my feelings about them.  As you can see from the picture everything going on will be open to interpretation.

So lets start with our fearless leader, President Joe Biden.  In recent videos and press conferences we saw him lose his train of thought and mumble himself off stage, trip going up the stairs to Air Force One twice, and assign what is possibly the least qualified person to tackle the debacle on the border, Kamala Harris.  The one thing I have to say about this is I truly feel sorry for him.  He is obviously not well mentally or physically yet the left and the Democrats are pulling him along like Bernie in the movie Weekend at Bernie's.  It is a disgrace that they seem to want all of us to not believe what we are seeing and that he is still the vigorous politician of his hay day.  That leads to the second big thing that has happened, the crisis going on at the border.

We have seen interviews with the "refugees" admitting they only came here due to Biden being in the office and if Trump was still there they would not even have tried it.  The media has been kept out of the detention centers until the past few days when the over crowding and conditions have been brought to light.  I saw a video yesterday of smugglers dropping a 4 and 7 year old girl over the 14 ft border fence and left them, miles from the nearest anything.  Our border patrol rescued them and also another baby who was dumped into the Rio Grand by coyotes.  We are seeing border patrol being told to release the illegal immigrants without any sort of court day setup and no way to track these people.  If we do not get this under control I honestly believe we will see the decline of America sped up at an alarming rate.  So Kamala was put in charge of getting it under control to which she has avoided visiting the border or the detention centers and actually laughed at a reporter who asked her if she was going to.

We also saw several mass shootings.  Conservatives responded by preaching about self defense and using the 2nd amendment freedoms we have.  Liberals demanded more gun control and taking of weapons.  Same shit different day I guess.

Several states have put bans in place preventing Trans-athletes from competing with the group opposite their biological sex, ie trans-women in women's sports.  The left immediately rose in defense of Trans-girls being girls, despite the science that says otherwise.  Here is my take, the science and physiology of men and women is different.  If you look at only the physiology you will see why this idea of allowing men to play women's sports is a bad idea.  I also have previously written a blog about this so all my research is there if you want to read an in depth analysis of my thoughts.

GA and other states have passed laws protecting voting integrity.  They have things like Voter ID, minimal mail-in voting, and a limit on when polls would close and voting would end, hint it is all the same day ending at 5pm in most cases.  The case that has been presented against voter ID is that poor, marginalized and elderly people would not be able to get one, thus preventing them from voting and ultimately being a racist policy.  The left wing media giants and other companies have begun to push for banning their companies from working in GA and the other states.  In essence punishing the govt and people of GA for trying to make the voting fair and equal.

The covid vaccine is being shot out in mass everyday and we are still under lockdowns and told to avoid people and wear masks at all times.  For those who don't see the problem here nothing I say will make you realize how stupid this is.  I have gotten my 1st vaccine and I only wear a mask when absolutely needed.

Our kids are still being kept at home and taught from a distance but the illegal immigrant kids in San Diego county are being given in person instruction by the same teachers unions who say that is dangerous and have fought against going back to class.  Why are the tax dollars being paid by parents in San Diego being used to educate illegal immigrants in person but it is too dangerous for the children of those parents to go back to class?

I will sum the past 3 months with this final paragraph.  Trump preached America first and his policies and negotiations with other countries put the interests of America first in ever way.  We became energy independent and saw gas prices stay below $2/gallon a majority of his term in office.  We saw the flow of illegals into the country slow to a trickle (about 850/day).  We saw jobs created and unemployment hit the lowest it has ever been across all demographics.  We saw major corporations return to America to produce their products which was a huge boost and led to the best economy we have ever had.  But last Nov he was "voted" out because he was mean and tweeted things!  Since Biden took office thousands of jobs have been lost, unemployment is rising, illegal immigration has sky rocketed (now almost 6,000/day), big companies are leaving for other countries to avoid the coming tax hikes, violence is on the rise, and policies being proposed will sink us trillions upon trillions into further debt.  3 full months into 2021 and at this rate we will be lucky to make it to December.

Biden and his first primetime appearance!

I took time about four days ago to listen to our fearless leader Joe Biden address the nation for the first time officially.  I wanted to make this blog to cover what was said and my thoughts on it.  I went into the speech with low expectations but open to being surprised. Lets get going!

The first statement he made was "A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked, denials for days, weeks, then months."  As I expected his first point was to point fingers and say Trump did not act fast enough, which we know has been proven false.  He followed that up by pointing out his concern by pulling his "card" out of his pocket which he carries at all times with the most up to date number of "Americans who have died from COVID." He makes sure to add "That's more deaths than in World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War and 9/11 combined."  While an accurate statement it is comparing apples to cars.  Wars are nothing like a communicable disease.  He moves onto the human aspect of isolation and job loss due to the restrictions placed by governments across the US and mainly in states or cities run by liberal Democrats.

In the next section of the speech he moves onto the vaccine.  He states when he took over "this country didn't have nearly enough vaccine supply to vaccinate all or anywhere near all of the American public" while forgetting the vaccines were created during Operation Warp Speech under President Trump and when he took power there was only 2 vaccines and they had just began being distributed and administered one month earlier.  He praises the companies, and rightly so, while at the same time taking credit for the vaccine being shipped and administered when he simply took over the process in its early phase and followed the same plan already in place.  He then talked about his "plan" to open vaccination centers across the US but did not give any firm plan forward.

Then we get to the real meat of what he wanted to say.  He says "in the coming weeks, we will issue further guidance on what you can and cannot do once fully vaccinated to lessen the confusion, to keep people safe, and encourage more people to get vaccinated."  This statement is skillfully crafted to encourage getting vaccinated while at the same time issuing a backhanded threat of more lockdowns and restrictions if we as Americans choose to not get vaccinated.  He then adds "If we all do this, if we do our part, if we do this together, by July the 4th, there's a good chance you, your families and friends, will be able to get together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout or barbeques and celebrate Independence Day."  How freaking nice of him to give us independence day for complying with big governments demands.  He goes on further to state "Because if we don't stay vigilant and the conditions change and we may have to reinstate restrictions to get back on track" aka do what we say or else.

He concludes with "God bless you all and please, God, give solace to all those people who lost someone.  And may God protect our troops.  Thank you for taking the time and listening.  I look forward to seeing you."  No God Bless America?  Not a big shock to me but there we have it.

Here is my thoughts on the virus and vaccine.  Just like the masks and other precautions I believe it should be every single Americans right to do or not do any of these things.  The good news is Biden made it through the 30 min without completely botching it.

Obama Administration years 9-12

Not matter if you agree with the election results or not the fact is Joe Biden is our new President, well kind of.  During the election Joe Biden made very few appearances and made a promise to build back better.  He promised the far left that his presidency would be the most progressive in history.  He promised to place people in cabinet positions who hold extremely progressive values and ideals.  For voters who believe in such things like the BLM riots, teaching 5 year old's about sexuality (grooming), and trans men being allowed to play women's sports his rhetoric sounded like nirvana.  He spoke of equity for all and pushing America into the future.  We are now almost a month into his Presidency and what have we seen?

To start his cabinet was filled with the exact same people that President Obama had in his cabinet positions.  Joe Biden pulled Obama's Rolodex out and brought back people like John Kerry.  The same old white men that Obama had advising him on all things.  He rolled back the oil pipeline which cost 20,000+ Americans jobs and also reduced our relations with Canada.  He rolled back almost all of President Trump's executive orders that protected women, LGBTQIA+, farmers, small businesses, and children.  He made sure to instill the good old boy club back into the seats of power and it is disgusting.

President Biden touted his plan for handling the Covid-19 pandemic.  He claimed his plan would have us all back to normal in his first 100 days.  Just last week he came out and admitted that no matter what we do the curve of the virus will not change.  He put in a federal mask mandate on all federal lands, then immediately went to the Lincoln memorial with his family and did not wear a mask.  He lauded President Trump for not leading by example while at the same time not leading by example himself.  His plan to distribute the vaccine has failed as vaccines are going unused and eventually no longer usable.  The website most states use to schedule the vaccine have either not worked or are not reliable.  He claimed in his first 100 days he would have the schools back open, in all honesty a lot of them are open but only 1 day a week.  I think most people thought he meant full time.

So how does Obama play into this?  Well it is simple, Biden's plan for his Presidency is almost an exact copy of the Obama admin.  Under Obama we saw the press secretary avoid questions and use phrases like "I will have to get back to you on that."  President Trump hired Press Secretaries who were willing to answer any and all questions.  The last one was amazing and tended to push back on reporters who asked questions that were deliberately bias and not true with facts and resources.  Our new Press Secretary said she was bringing transparency back to the press room, then immediately refuse to answer questions or use the old "I will circle back to that later" approach.  The truth is that the next 4 years will be almost an exact copy of Obama's eight.  We will see unemployment rise for all ethnicities, our economy go into recession (which will be blamed on Trump), continued divide amongst all races and genders pushed by the left wing media, and ultimately very dark days ahead.  I have tried to give Biden a chance to prove me wrong and up until this post he has only hurt America.  Guess it is time to buckle up!

The pen is mightier than the sword

Our country has a long history of Presidents signing executive orders to dictate the direction of our country.  Most notably FDR signed 3728 executive orders in his 12 years in office.  The second most was by George Washington at 2553.  But in my lifetime, since 1979, the highest number was 381 by Reagan and 364 by Clinton.  The lowest number was 166 by George H.W. Bush.  These orders are issued using the stroke of a pen to push through policy that may or may not be able to get voted into law by congress.  Donald Trump signed seven executive orders from the time of his inauguration on Jan 20, 2017 until the end of that month.  Obama signed nine in the same timeframe.  Bush and Clinton both signed two.  Our new President Joe Biden while on the campaign trail was quoted as saying "Some of my Republican friends and some of my Democratic friends even occasionally say, "Well, if you can't get the votes by executive order, you're going to do something." Things you can't do by executive order unless you're a dictator. We're a democracy. We need consensus."  He was discussing the possibility of signing an executive order to raise taxes on the rich but the one statement that stand out here is "Things you can't do by executive order unless you're a dictator".  Why does this stand out?  The answer is easily found, from Jan 20 through the end of the month Joe Biden signed 45 executive orders.  That is vastly more executive orders than all the Presidents of my lifetime combined in the same timeframe!

He has signed orders stopping the Keystone pipeline, which has allowed us to be energy independent, this caused the immediate loss of jobs for many unionized workers.  He rejoined the Paris climate accord which forces us to pay million if not billions of dollars "cleaning" up our fossil fuel usage and giving money to other countries.  He signed an order repealing title IX which allowed women's sports to disallow trans women, aka men, from competing and winning scholarships, this places girls at a disadvantage immediately.  He also signed an order allowing trans men and women to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their "preference".  He stopped funding for construction of the border wall.  All of these things hurt America and put our lives at risk.

So why is he on such a quick signing rampage?  My guess is he is beholden to the far left and their agenda.  Many of these actions have pushed that agenda to the forefront of our politics.  This becomes dangerous as it is my belief that more than half of the country and maybe as much as two-thirds do not support these ideals.  I have always been a supporter of the President as when the President succeeds we succeed.  I always try to give the benefit of the doubt to the new President until they pass policy or support ideals that I disagree with.  So when Biden took over I was telling all of my Trump supporting friends to give him a chance, maybe he will do ok.  But here we are ten days into the new administration and I have watched him sign so many things which counter my views and things I support.  We have seen the censorship of conservatism in big tech and media.  We have seen the conservative "twitter" called Parler removed for allowing free speech on its platform.  Youtube accounts, twitter accounts, and many other social media sites have removed conservative accounts and cost prominent conservative posters hundreds and in some cases thousands of followers.  This is a problem.

As a conservative it worries me that these things are happening so quickly.  I have a really bad feeling things will end badly.  We need to fight back and prevent the silencing of any voices.  Our freedoms are at threat daily.  I am not sure how to fight back but when I figure it out I will hopefully be able to share my views and get your opinions.

Unity and equality for all......No not you

In 8 days we will see a new President take the seat in the White House.  I didn't vote for him but I am willing to give him a chance to prove my concerns and fears wrong.  I have stated many times before I think he is simply a place holder for 5-6 months and then he will step down making Kamala Harris our first Black female President.  Why is that important?  Well the Democratic party has for years made their platform "The first..." They have pandered to minority groups for votes and then gotten into power and done nothing for those groups.

President elect Biden gave a speech the other day expressing how he is going to help small businesses recover from the Covid lockdowns.  The thing he did not address was that his party controls the cities and states which have had the worst response to Covid, imposed the most restrictions and cause the most deaths based on policies they have put in place.  The one thing he said that struck me the most was this "Our priority will be Black, Latino, Asian, and Native American owned small businesses, women-owned businesses, and finally having equal access to resources needed to reopen and rebuild."  I have no problem supporting those businesses, my problem is excluding other racial groups from the same aid opportunities.  The Democrats scream about racial injustice and equality but at every single turn exclude and put policy in place which places other racial groups at a disadvantage in order to benefit others.  This is systemic racism.  Putting systems in place for the benefit of one racial group over another is the definition of systemic racism.  So why are the same people who have screamed for equal justice now silent?  The answer is simple, it does not fit their idea of equality.

We have seen with the lockdowns the hypocrisy of these people.  The do as I say not as I do mentality.  The justice for me but not for you ideas have set us back to a time where nobody is equal.  Some of these equality advocates have petitioned for segregated dorms on college campuses, black only rec centers, and even supporting financial help through the crisis for minorities only.  Biden's campaign rhetoric was all about unity and healing the country but his actions are about dividing us further.  He and the far left are doing this to restrict our rights and squash the conservative viewpoint.  Just this week every social media platform banned the sitting President of the United States from their platforms, this is not right.  This is censorship.  Never in our history has one viewpoint been censored while others are allowed to continue.  Why is it people are not standing up and stopping this?

We saw people storm our capitol building in DC, which I covered in my last blog, and we saw lawless riots in the streets all summer.  These were cause by the division being sewed in the media and through our politics.  Only when we realize the government works for the people, the people don't subject to the government will we begin to stop this shift in our political system.  If we don't stand up soon I am truly afraid we will lose everything we know and all the freedoms we enjoy.  For now I will pray for the best and hope we eventually get to unity and equality for all not just some.

Welcome to the Shit Show

If you like to spend your night being tied up and beaten with bamboo reeds then last night was for you.  Last night was the first Presidential debate of this election season.  Leading into the event I had several discussions with some friends of mine and we laid out our strategies for each candidate.  For President Trump we agreed he needed to hammer points about his record as President, limit interruptions and let Biden talk himself into corners, and most of all not seem like he was beating up on a deteriorating old man.  For Biden we thought he needed to come into the debate and prove to people he was not in mental decline, solidify his positions on major topics, and present a more presidential appearance.  So when it came time for the show I was excited.  As most of you know I am not a fan of most liberal ideas and tend to lean toward conservative thought.  I did not vote for Trump in 2016 because I was unsure how his brash behavior would work in world politics.  Since he was elected I have tried my best to overlook his personality and focus on the policies and executive orders he has been passing and promoting.  Based only on these things I can say he has done a lot of great things for our country.  Unemployment was the lowest of all time prior to the pandemic across all races.  Our economy was the highest it has ever been.  Middle and low class Americans saw an over $5000 increase in their take home pay due to his tax cuts, while during Obama/Biden's 8 years it was only a little over $1000.  He negotiated new trade deals with China, Canada/Mexico, and others which gave us a much better position than at any previous time.  He negotiated peace deals in the middle east between Israel and multiple Muslim states. He reduced our troop levels in all of the war zones and was the first President not to enter any new conflicts despite reports he was going to start WW3 with Iran.  He nominated and had two conservative leaning Supreme Court justices confirmed and will have a 3rd before election day.  So from a conservative perspective I support his agenda and the things he has accomplished.

With all of that in mind I reemphasize that his strategy should have been to hit points from his record and avoid coming off like an asshole.  Unfortunately he interrupted from the very start, talked over his time limit, was combative with the moderator, and of course lowered himself into name calling.  He did every single thing that my friends and I hoped he would avoid.  He did not present himself like a confident and accomplished President but more like a braggart and arrogant bully.  Once again the negative personality traits over shadowed his accomplishments.  He did however make some good points.  He asked Biden if he would pack the Supreme court if he won to which Biden replied "I am not going to answer that question".  He pointed out that Antifa was a hateful organization which is destroying US cities and Biden responded with "Antifa is an idea not an organization", which everyone knows is false.  He attacked Hunter Biden and his ties to Russian, Ukrainian, and Chinese groups which paid him millions of dollars.  Biden's response of "That has been disproven" and "That is just false" just don't hold water.  Over all Trump made good solid attacks but they will fall flat due to the excessive rants and attacks throughout the debate.

Now VP Biden also failed to meet most of our ideas for success.  He at times wondered in his thoughts and the moderator had to remind him of what they were discussing, he would be stumbling over his thoughts and was saved by Trump and his interruptions on several occasions, and he failed to solidify his positions.  He did however seem to be the more adult candidate.  He approached the debate from a more Presidential position.  There were only a couple of times he lashed out back at Trump and came off weaker.  Biden hammered on the Covid-19 response which was an expected tactic but fell short due to the fact it is a worldwide pandemic and every country has struggled.  He did a good job of debate tactics.  When he would be interrupted he would stop talking and then request the time back from the moderator.  At one point Biden was asked if he called the Democratic Mayors and Governors to stop the violence in cities like Portland and Seattle to which he responded "I am not in elected office" which I thought was a cop out due to the fact he called himself the "Democratic party" on one of the first questions.  He rejected the idea he supports the green new deal but a few sentences later said "The Green New Deal will pay for itself".  He failed to solidify positions as he tried to position himself between the moderate and radical left.  He also had good attacks but I think had way too many times he rambled and failed to get to the point.

At the end of the night I feel like neither candidate "won" the debate.  Biden had a much better performance than many of us expected and Trump was well Trump.  I watched the aftermath on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC.  Fox rallied behind Trump saying he was aggressive and showed great leadership.  CNN "fact checked" the debate but only Trumps comments and then called him a liar.  MSNBC also fact checked but seemed to rely on the Biden got the best of Trump line.  All in all every station said things like "That was the most chaotic debate I have seen" or "That was a shit show".  I absolutely agree with both of those statements.  I would summarize with this, I thought they were both childish with the name calling, Trump more so than Biden.  I think they both talked over each other and the moderator too much, more so Trump than Biden.  No new revelations were brought to light and all the expected talking points were hit by both candidates.  I do not think any minds or votes were changed with this 90 min debate.  I also feel like Normal people who are not into politics will most likely not watch any future debates due to this being so chaotic.

When it comes down to it both candidates failed to win the debate but it is America who lost the most.  Welcome to the Shit Show.

Let there be light........

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  And God saw the light, and it was good; and God divided the light from darkness.  After watching the DNC highlights and actually listening to Joe Biden's acceptance speech for the nomination I found myself longing for exactly what his policies are.  He relied heavily on pointing out all the negative and bad in the country.  He spend a lot of time creating a very depressing view of America.  The one thing he didn't do was explain how he would make it better.  He also spent a lot of time using the contrast of light versus dark when referring to himself and President Trump.  I also spent a few days listening to the President speak about his plans for a second term.  He also spent time pointing out the bad thing Biden and the democrats have been doing. But his tone was much different.  He spoke of how much we have prospered in his first term, how our economy was the best it has every been (prior to Covid), and how he knows we can not only return to that point but exceed it in his second term.  His tone and tenor was optimistic.  Biden's was pessimistic.  So the difference was not only heard but felt.

All the left has done is point out how terrible we are as a country, how our world is falling apart, and how it is never going to get better without tearing it all down.  Their tone and talk increases racial tension, increase angst and add to the divide in our politics.  They rely on personal attacks, as does the President, but theirs seem to come from a place of true hate and not of replying to an attack already having taken place.  We hear BLM talk about how we are still the most racist country in the world.  We hear Antifa talk about how our businesses are abusing their employees.  We hear our left wing politicians call for violent uprising and call for support of these fascists who are damaging our great cities.

During the DNC caucuses the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  The only problem was they left the word God out of it.  Why is that important?  Because it is a further removing religion from our citizens.  It is the destruction of faith and democracy that creates the darkness we are seeing.  People burning the flag, destroying businesses, injuring and killing innocent people, and simply not caring about the lives of others.  In the bible we saw a very similar thing happen in Sodom and Gomorrah.  The people became wicked and engaged in acts of self satisfaction.  To stop this God destroyed the cities with sulfur and fire.  While many people have left faith behind in our society there are similarities to this story.  As we move further way from God and the goodness of man we will find ourselves falling further into darkness.

This election we are being pushed to choose lightness or darkness.  As you watch the politicians speak take a true look at who is pushing each one.  Not based on your past biases of the two candidates but by the words they are saying now.  By which groups of people are backing each one.  We have to do everything we can to save our Republic and this experiment we call America at all costs.  Many empires before us have gone down this path that lay ahead and it was the road to their ultimate destruction.  So Joe Biden did speak some truth, this is a choice between Darkness and Light.  I just have a feeling he is not on the side he thinks he is.

Check all the boxes

The past few days the Democrats have had their national convention to formally nominate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to run for President and Vice President.  As I watched the DNC last night I realized very quickly they entire production was put together for one reason, to check all the boxes.  In our lives we often spend way to much time checking the boxes because we are concerned with how we look to others, even if it mean we are not being true to ourselves.

At work we ensure the boxes are checked.  We show up on time and on most days early, we see the boss coming and "look busy", we eat lunch at our desks or don't eat at all, and we are willing to stay late or volunteer for things to make a good impression.  So why do we do all of it at work if we were hired for specific things?  We do it to check the box off the list.  At work we are taught to do these things if we want to get ahead.  Many of us have seen less than impressive workers getting promoted and those hard workers consistently getting passed over.  The reason they get the job is simple, they are willing to check the boxes and buddy up with the bosses to make sure the check marks are noticed while you, a hard worker, are busy doing the job and ensuring it is done right.

When it comes to our faiths we do the same thing.  I was raised Lutheran and watched every week as people passed the collection plate.  This tradition leads to people giving more than they might otherwise because we can't let the Johnsons give more than us.  Your worth in the congregation was tied directly to your participation in the services, plays, and other tenants of the faith.  As I got older I found my way into the LDS faith.  The structure was much better and the tithe system very private and not meant to force more than you can give.  But there were still check boxes that have to be filled in.  Go to church, read the scriptures, have family home evenings, help people move as needed, and be involved as much as possible.  The sad thing with faith is it should be personal between you and God.  Other people should not make you feel unwelcomed if you can't make service every Sunday or be the star pupil in Sunday school.

So watching the DNC I began to see the check boxes that they were filling in.  While their actions have shown they are ok with not saying the Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, or unity their words came across hollow.  The check boxes they needed to hit were race, social class, under privileged, and gender.  They had speakers from every category and most of them seemed quite ingenuine.  They pulled out a 13 year old kid with a stutter and exploited him to prove Joe Biden cared.  The whole night was spent calling Trump a bad man and telling us Joe Biden was a great and caring Grandfather.  The problem I had with the whole thing was at the end of the night I still have no idea what his position is on the issues.  They did not lay out any plans for anything of substance.  It was a completely obvious attempt to make the minority groups feel like he cares.  Next week the Republicans will have their national convention and hopefully we see some discussion about actual issues.  Do I think it will happen, probably not.

When it comes to checking boxes my opinion is this, don't check boxes for anyone but yourself!  If you have a list of things you want to achieve then by all means create a checklist and stick to it.  If you are simply checking boxes to make yourself seem like someone you are not then don't do it.  Don't give in to what other people think.  Be yourself.  If you want to vote for Trump, do it.  If you prefer Biden, do that.  Don't feel that if you don't like Trump then you must vote for Biden, you don't have to!  If you are true to yourself you will find you will never have anything to have regrets about.

Words are not violence

For the past 24 years of my life I have spent Sept 11 watching documentaries about the terrorist attack on the twin towers in New York and h...
