Election season is upon us

 Wow its been six months since my last post and a lot of things have happened in politics and our country.  Lets start on the right side of the spectrum, Trump was indicted in several states and liberal courts on charges which have little to no evidence and I fully expect to be thrown out in the end.  He was also selected as the Republican Party candidate for President!  This will be his third time being the candidate and his momentum is at an all-time high.  We have seen vast numbers of minorities leaving the Democratic party and throwing their support to Trump.  So why would lifelong Democrats change their party affiliation and vote?  The answer is much simpler than it seems, they realized for generations the Democrats have done nothing for their communities and only give a crap about them every election cycle.  These groups have seen greater success under the Trump/Republican policies.  They also have seen the left push further into the fringes on topics like abortion, antisemitism, anti-white racism, socialism, open borders and overthrowing our country as we know it.  The left has begun advocating for segregation in schools, dormitories, offices, and every other part of our lives.  They have focused on victimhood and why that prevents each group from success.  They blame everything on systemic racism and claiming white people are preventing a thriving minority community. They are also ok with jailing political rivals, changing our checks and balances when it comes to the Supreme court, censoring speech they disagree with and most of all they have suggested throwing out the Constitution and starting over.  They are doing all of this in an effort to provide "equity" when in reality it is because the levers of power have shifted more right leaning and they want to remove obstacles to ending America as we know it.

On the left side we have heard them preach that Trump is a "threat to democracy" and "he will be a dictator."  They are against ID's to vote and ensuring only American citizens are voting.  They claim if he is elected there will never be another vote.  The reality is they had a Democratic primary and the voters selected President Biden as their candidate.  After a terrible debate in June the Democratic machine and media turned on him, began saying he was unfit for office and forced him to withdraw as the candidate.  So naturally I think most Americans assumed there would be a shortened primary where candidates could be vetted for voters to select the candidate.  The reality was much more dark, the Democratic machine and donors hand selected VP Harris as the candidate and negated the will of their voters.  That is a threat to democracy and removal of the power of the people.  To be clear VP Harris is just as responsible for the policies put in place as President Biden is.  According to the President, his press secretary and media outlets have consistently stated she was as involved in those choices as he was. Now that she is the candidate she states positions in direct opposition to the policies that have been put in place.  She has stated she was for mass amnesty, open borders, abortion up to birth, govt healthcare and removal of private healthcare, increased taxes, writing off college loans, militarizing govt agencies against political rivals, and increases in CRT and the LGBTQIA agenda in schools and businesses.  Now she states the exact opposite view on all those issues.  She claims to fix all those things on day 1 when she is elected, but she is forgetting the is the Vice President and can make those changes now! But she isn't, so my question is why?  She is avoiding interviews and debates, why?

Of all the elections in my lifetime this one seems to be a pivotal one for the direction of our country.  There is a very clear choice to be made.  On one hand you can select VP Harris and continue down the path we have been on since 2020.  That path leads to the downfall of America and transforms us into a socialist nation and eventually to a third world dictatorship.  On the other hand you can vote for Trump.  This path we have seen before from 2016-2020.  Until Covid destroyed businesses and killed our economy Trumps policies had the lowest unemployment among all demographics, most secure border ever in our history, the Abraham accords saw Muslim countries and Israel agree to trade agreements and peaceful interaction, he did not get us into any wars and began a strategic draw down in Afghanistan, during his term Iran/North Korea/Russia and all our other adversaries did not attack us or any of our allies, he renegotiated trade agreements to our benefit, his refusal to pay the UN until all the other countries paid their share led to a massive increase in countries meeting their obligations, and he was willing to sit with any and all world leaders.  Under Trump we were the freest, most prosperous and safest we have been in several generations.  

For me the choice is not a choice at all.  As I have stated many times in this blog I will always fall on the side of America and making us great!  My next blog will focus on the VP candidates and what they stand for.  In 2024 I will be voting for Trump and doing my best to expose the left, VP Harris, Gov Walz and all the other leftists for their policies and lies.

What we've got here is failure to communicate

 

The title of this blog come directly from the song by Guns and Roses called Civil War, hence the graphic here.  In a lot of my blogs I have talked about the events happening in America the last three years that are leading us directly to the next civil war.  Lines are being drawn and citizens are being divided on every single thing.  In this blog I wanted to look at what the "elite" are doing to maintain their power and grip on everyday Americans.

Lets take this all the way back to 2020.  In 2020 we saw the rise of Covid-19.  The government made the decision to lock everyone down who they didn't deem "essential." So who did they choose to remain open, big corporations, chain restaurants, weed shops, and liquor stores.  The local small to mid-size businesses were forced to shudder their doors and stop paying employees.  I thought for many months why they did that.  The conclusion I came to was the ones left open either donated to the political campaigns, were friends of the "elites" or it was a business which would aid in the destruction of people. Companies like Wal-Mart and Amazon made billions of dollars during the 2-year lock down period.  More and more Americans developed mental health issues and addiction due to the access of the "essential" businesses.  Suicide and domestic violence rates skyrocketed. This led to the idea there was a bigger plan in place.  During this same time, we saw a massive movement known as BLM.  This movement started as protests against police violence against black people.  What happened very quickly was these "peaceful" protests devolved into violent arson and attacks against white people and police officers.  We saw entire blocks of Seattle taken over by warlords and had zero ability to provide medical care or safety for citizens in that area.  That failed quickly as expected and eventually it was restored to sanity.  The racial division was radicalized by mainstream media and glorified by the same politician who pushed the lockdowns.  That went on for months and what was the end result?  Police officers being attacked and killed, minority businesses being burned to the ground, and minority communities left in ruins.  Were the elites hurt by this? No.  The people most affected were the ones those same elites encouraged to commit the violence.  This was their way of dividing us further.

After the racial divide was present the next move was to pit the vaxxed and un-vaxxed against one another.  We saw people on both sides being attacked verbally and physically for choosing to wear a mask or not.  We heard calls from leaders and media that people needed to report their neighbors if they didn't follow mask mandates to local authorities for "reeducation." We have seen the same kinds of "reeducation" happening in China with the Uyghur population and also in Nazi Germany.  The tools used by dictators and communists alike is reeducation of the masses or death.  Is that really what we want to become?  This divide crossed into Patriots vs the left.  Patriotic Americans were labeled racist and white nationalist.  It became a case of us vs them.  In the end we saw even further division of Americans.  The difference with this attempt was most Patriotic Americans are gun advocates and will not let the removal of liberties stand.  So how could the "elites" get what they want in removal of guns from these Americans? The solution is something we see to this day, glorify mass shootings and use the weapons the a-holes use against the people to push for gun control.  At first the method was to claim any AR-15 was an assault weapon or weapon of war.  The pushback was educating people of the weapons and how it was a semi-automatic meaning one trigger pull, one shot. Not the fully automatic death machines the media throws on the news nightly.

And finally, this week we saw the House of Representatives hold a committee hearing to address Hunter Biden taking money from foreign governments.  In this hearing the Republicans were asking FBI whistleblower pertinent questions about the investigation. When it was the Democrats turn each and every one of them called out Donald Trump, injustice against minorities and other far left talking points. None of what they talked about had anything to do with the matter being discussed.  Then the next hearing was about censorship in social media.  The first witness was Democratic Senator Robert Kennedy Jr.  He was called to the hearing to discuss his own social media accounts being throttled and censored. As he began to speak the representative from the Virgin Islands immediately spoke over him and refused to let him talk.  She continued to the point of the leader of the committee telling her to stop censoring his speech and let him talk!  After the hearing all of the Democrats said the same lines to media question.  They said things like "He was free to say whatever he wanted, wherever he wanted, except in this chamber" or "We were not going to let him spread misinformation" and "He was spreading lies in committee." So what do these two things have in common?  They both involve high level government officials being involved in FBI matters and censorship of opposing views.  We have also seen this with former President Trump.  The left is still committed to putting him in jail, silencing his voice and preventing him from ever winning the Presidency again.  

To conclude this blog I want to compare what I have discussed with things like Nazi Germany, Pol pot, and other communist/socialist leaders.  In each and every case the format was the same.  Divide the populace into an us vs them scenario, remove the citizens ability to defend themselves, have citizen turn in their family and friend for "disobedience" and finally remove the rights of free people to vote for their leaders. This is when a civil and free society fails to exist.  We have seen the pattern repeat throughout history and it never ends well.  I fully believe it is the left and liberals plan to make America another third world dictatorship and drive us into poverty.  That way they will be the only ones with wealth and food.  When this begins to happen, I also fully believe that the Patriotic Americans will once again rise up and say no to the tyrannical takeover of the greatest country ever in the history of the world!

USA, Third World Country

 The United States is a unique experiment in politics.  Our founding fathers created a melting pot for all nations and peoples to have freedom.  Through the years and election cycles we have seen mudslinging, attack ads and everything imaginable to discredit the other political opponents.  The one thing we have never seen until recently is the attempt to arrest, jail and forcefully stop a political opponent.  This is something that happens in 3rd world dictatorships and Marxist countries.  This is the tool of "leaders" who are afraid of losing power.  Ever since the second Donald Trump was elected as President the Democratic party, media and political elites have done everything in their power to impeach, arrest, harass and just make his life hell.  Even through it all he is still standing and trying to win office again!

This past weekend these same Democratic politicians and DA's indicted Trump for what they call threats to national security.  The primary focus is his retention and storage of "classified" documents (103 to be exact).  They showed pictures of stacks of document boxes they claimed contained these documents.  I think any normal person who has ever seen these boxes knows each one can contain hundreds of documents, so why have more than just one box for 103 pages?  The answer is simple, to create an image that Trump had more than the 103 pages they found.  In reality he had every right under the Presidential Records Act to not only declassify any documents he wanted but to also remove and take with him when he left those documents.  He was required to store them in a place secured to FBI standards, and they had validated he had done just that.  The news is already convicting him of crimes he did not commit.  But you know who did?  Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.  There is documented evidence Hillary had an unclassified server containing thousands of classified documents in her home.  Before she could be charged, she destroyed, with bleach, the server, cell phones and other items which contained the documents.  Joe Biden took documents out of secured areas when he was a Senator and also the Vice President.  These documents were found at every single one of his properties and in most cases not in a location secured at all.  The difference in these two cases is that the people involved were Democrats and also not allowed to remove or declassify documents!  These two cases were actual crimes!

So why is Trump now faces criminal charges?  Simple, he is a threat to the political establishment.  Their power is under direct threat.  They must stop him at any cost.  In order for them to maintain their grip on money and power he must be removed from the equation.  This is where 3rd world countries can be looked at as examples of what their plan is.  If anyone is a threat, they will be removed from the playing field at any cost.  He is being made the example for anyone else who dares to go outside the lines and try to make actual change in our system.  We as Americans cannot sit idly by and watch this happen.  We need to stand up and hold these vicious politicians accountable.  We the people must remove them from office and ensure they never sit in those seats again.  If we do not this will be the beginning of the end of our Republic and country.  I firmly believe in my lifetime good men and women will have to stand side by side and fight once again for our freedoms.  This will be the fight of our life and we must be ready.  I am not calling for violent revolution as I do believe we can legally stop this before it gets to that point, but we must be ready to stand firm to any extent or everything we hold close to our hearts will be ripped from our hands.  I for one will not stand by and watch our country fall as every other empire in the world has.  Thie country is worth fighting for and we need to be ready.

2 years later

     Ok so it has been more than a few months since I took a break from this blog, but I am back!  I took the time off to pay attention to the world we are living in and watch the shift in the political spectrum.  Hopefully this is the first of my blogs I post this year.  

Now lets get into my thoughts and feelings about the past two years.  From 2019-2020 I posted a lot on Facebook and other social media about my view on many topics.  I also started this blog and shared similar positions and thoughts.  Back then the "left leaning" advocates were operating somewhat in the shadows, denying the agenda they were pushing for and working hard behind the scenes to change generations of children against the country and traditional values.  How did they do this?  It started in public schooling and the curriculum.  Until the lockdowns during Covid many parents were unaware of exactly what their children were being taught in school.  Often a kid's rebelliousness would be blamed on growing up, truth was they were being indoctrinated to a belief that forced that rebellion.  Parents began to see kids as young as kindergartners being exposed to sexual relationships, race relations, and general anti-family beliefs.  While children eventually need to have that exposure, it needs to be done at home, not the classroom.  A lot of the beliefs being taught run counter to families with strong religious or traditional values.  After the lockdowns ended, we saw a large number of children being taken out of public school and either homeschooled or placed in private schools which give parents more control over the curriculum.  At this point logic would state the public schools would move further from the fringe topics and get back to the basics.  Fact is they did the exact opposite.  We now see drag shows in school assemblies, activist flags and slogans posted in classrooms, and teachers fighting to keep control over "their kids."  The left chose to double down, strip off the masks and very publicly advocate for the ability to indoctrinate our kids.

And the schools are just the beginning.  We saw Row V Wade overturned and the abortion regulation turned back over to the state.  So what was the reaction from the left to this?  Mass protests, violence, and an immediate movement to tell women they now were being oppressed and prevented from having bodily autonomy and reproductive rights.  The idea that reproductive rights start after pregnancy is simply wrong.  Womens reproductive autonomy and freedom starts before the sexual act even occurs!  We tell women it is empowering to sleep around, get pregnant and dispose of their kids.  Women are truly empowered by being able to be selective in partners, prevent pregnancy, and most of all respect themselves enough to know they have more value than what is between their legs.  Men also have the same value and empowerment.  Being a player and having multiple children with multiple women isn't empowering, it is low down and shady.  Men have more value than what is between their legs too.  Yes sex is fun, pleasurable and something most adults enjoy, pregnancy is the direct risk of this action, protected or not.  We should be teaching our children self-respect, respect for human life and also their value in life not just the bedroom.

We have seen a rise in the LGBTQIA+ movement and the desire to sexualize and allow children to go through gender affirming care aka mutilating themselves for life for temporary feelings.  We need to let kids be kids.  Adults can choose that life or not but most humans brains are not fully developed until their mid 20's.  Why would anyone allow kids as young as 5 to dress in drag, take hormone replacement medication and even go through surgery to remove healthy body parts all in the name of "understanding." The studies show that a large percentage of young children that are not given those options choose to not do them later in life.  And those given those options have a high percentage who detransition later in life and regret those choices.  As parents it is our job to help out kids navigate the world and discover who they truly are.  Help them understand everyone at one point or another feels like they are in the wrong body and have no idea why they feel that way.  The wrong way to help is to agree with the confusion and push them to make life altering choices that may or may not be reversible.  The left is normalizing "family-friendly" all ages drag shows.  They are making tv shows highlighting young kids in drag or sexualized situations and telling the world the kids are "Brave" "Bold" and "revolutionary".  The reality is that it is grooming our kids to not understand "stranger danger" and make them feel like some of these people are threats.  I know not all of them are that way but any group of people who engage with young children there is a greater possibility of pedophiles wanting to be involved.

The left is manipulating language to make terms less "offensive."  Here is a not so finite list of the most obvious:

1. Pedophile.  Has been rebranded as a "minor attracted person".  We are told this is a sexuality similar to being attracted to the same sex.  Normalizing this behavior was the "slippery slope" argument right leaning people were accused of pushing and then actively told "that would never happen." But here we are.

2. Illegal Immigrant- The left now wants us to use the term non-documented migrant or asylum seekers.  So why does this matter?  Simple the act of illegally crossing the border is a crime.  These people are allowed to seek asylum from tyrannical governments, that is true.  But the rule is you can seek it from the closest country to your own.  Many of these people come from South America and travel through multiple countries to America when they should stop in one of the many countries they travel through.

3. Patriot- These people are now being called "white supremacists" and we are being told it is due to white people being racist and all patriots are white people.  Very flawed argument.  Reality is all Americans should be patriotic!  It is our country and laws that give us the freedoms these very same leftists are using to change things.

4. Racism- Is now being positioned and pushed as anything done by white people which negatively impacts minorities. Truth is racism is any race which does negative things to any other race simply because of the race.   Every single skin color can be racist.  We will never solve racism by enacting laws which are racist.  

Like I said just a starting list for my fight against the injustice I am seeing this year.  Next blog I will be tackling our election system and why I feel a change should be made!

Intellectual debate requires 2 intellectuals!

 

Throughout American history the intellectual minded people have gotten together, discussed the topics of the day and come up with solutions that both sides agreed were the best solution for the problems.  As Liberalism slowly took over the education system and colleges the idea of an intellectual debate became a thing of the past.  No longer could men and women, Democrats and Republicans, or Liberals and Conservatives sit down and discuss these things to help solve our problems.  The left raised multiple generations of students to debate with name calling and safe zones.  They are being taught if you disagree with someone that the best way to combat the other persons obvious lower IQ, since they most likely don't have a degree or any form of higher education, is to call them a racist, sexist, boomer, homophobe, transphobe, Nazi, or any other name they can think of.  Only then can you show how much more intellectual you are.  Only then can you show them how dumb they really are.  On the other side of the debate there are very intelligent people who may or may not have a degree from college.  The difference is those people want to learn, educate themselves, and discuss our times and problems to solve them, not just get handouts for being offended.  

I started my life in a fairly Conservative home.  I didn't care much for politics because I did not understand why I should.  I was never taught why the decisions politicians made really mattered.  It wasn't for lack of trying on my parents part, it was school scrubbing history and starting to make the common man feel as though Conservative values, faith and other things were not important and only a tool for the evil capitalists to control us.  That is where it ended while I was in school.  Now kids are being taught our founding fathers were all racists who infused our systems with racism and no matter what POC have no chance to overcome it without violence or rebellion.  They are being told all cops are out hunting black people daily.  That rich white politicians have gamed the system to hold them back.  They are being infused with an attitude of hate and non-patriotism.  They are being divided by everything and everything is being dubbed racist.  The only thing not being dubbed racist is actual racism!  

I see more and more white kids being told they are oppressors and need to beg forgiveness from their peers who are minorities.  The kids who are minorities are being told their white peers are the cause of all their problems.  White kids are being told if they do not accept and fight for the BLM movement, trans movement, or LGBTQIA+ movement then they are oppressing people and they should be met with violence.  To teachers, professors, and parents pushing these ideas I say YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!  5 year old kids don't need to know about trans genderism, sexuality, or any other adult topics.  They should be free to be kids and worry about playing and having fun.  I have found myself asking "what is the end game?"  The only way I can see it is history repeating itself.  

In all of history the rich and powerful push division as a form of subservience. A way to keep the Pleebs in order and not take the power back.  America was the one country in the world who has constantly pushed to evolve and create an equal playing field.  As slavery swept the globe we went to war with one another to end it.  As women around the globe have been made to feel inferior, we as a nation pushed for women's equality.  In no way have we been perfect but we have done more to create an equal playing field than any other nation worldwide.  We have the richest poor people anywhere in the world.  We have laws in place to protect against discrimination, sexism, and all forms of crime.  So why would the powerful in our country want to end that?  It is simple, to keep their power.  The modern push for socialism because "Other times it has been tried they didn't do it right" is leading us down a path that will lead to the destruction of life as we know it.  Unless we stand and fight now we will lose all we have created.  

Like I said we are far from perfect, racist people still exist although the entire country is not racist, the poor are made to feel as though they cannot or will not climb out without big daddy government handing them everything, the rich feel untouchable, and the left wants open borders and no police.  What point will it be too far gone?  At what point will fighting make no difference at all?  A quote often attributed to Thomas Jefferson but more commonly attributed to Gerald Ford states "A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." Greater words could not be spoken.  As big daddy government takes the reigns, divides us as a people and uses our youth for their own means we must realize once they get total control the people who blindly followed will be discarded and left for dead.  Conservative values are not sexist, racist or any other -ist you can find.  They are patriotic, seek equality, and express love and support for our fellow Americans.  If you are more liberal please find sources which back your positions and stop calling people you disagree with names.  Let us unite as We the People before it is too late!

Catching up on America

 

    9 days since my last post and a lot has happened in America that I want to cover.  So this post will hit the top events going on and my feelings about them.  As you can see from the picture everything going on will be open to interpretation. 

    So lets start with our fearless leader, President Joe Biden.  In recent videos and press conferences we saw him lose his train of thought and mumble himself off stage, trip going up the stairs to Air Force One twice, and assign what is possibly the least qualified person to tackle the debacle on the border, Kamala Harris.  The one thing I have to say about this is I truly feel sorry for him.  He is obviously not well mentally or physically yet the left and the Democrats are pulling him along like Bernie in the movie Weekend at Bernie's.  It is a disgrace that they seem to want all of us to not believe what we are seeing and that he is still the vigorous politician of his hay day.  That leads to the second big thing that has happened, the crisis going on at the border.

    We have seen interviews with the "refugees" admitting they only came here due to Biden being in the office and if Trump was still there they would not even have tried it.  The media has been kept out of the detention centers until the past few days when the over crowding and conditions have been brought to light.  I saw a video yesterday of smugglers dropping a 4 and 7 year old girl over the 14 ft border fence and left them, miles from the nearest anything.  Our border patrol rescued them and also another baby who was dumped into the Rio Grand by coyotes.  We are seeing border patrol being told to release the illegal immigrants without any sort of court day setup and no way to track these people.  If we do not get this under control I honestly believe we will see the decline of America sped up at an alarming rate.  So Kamala was put in charge of getting it under control to which she has avoided visiting the border or the detention centers and actually laughed at a reporter who asked her if she was going to.  

    We also saw several mass shootings.  Conservatives responded by preaching about self defense and using the 2nd amendment freedoms we have.  Liberals demanded more gun control and taking of weapons.  Same shit different day I guess.  

    Several states have put bans in place preventing Trans-athletes from competing with the group opposite their biological sex, ie trans-women in women's sports.  The left immediately rose in defense of Trans-girls being girls, despite the science that says otherwise.  Here is my take, the science and physiology of men and women is different.  If you look at only the physiology you will see why this idea of allowing men to play women's sports is a bad idea.  I also have previously written a blog about this so all my research is there if you want to read an in depth analysis of my thoughts.

    GA and other states have passed laws protecting voting integrity.  They have things like Voter ID, minimal mail-in voting, and a limit on when polls would close and voting would end, hint it is all the same day ending at 5pm in most cases.  The case that has been presented against voter ID is that poor, marginalized and elderly people would not be able to get one, thus preventing them from voting and ultimately being a racist policy.  The left wing media giants and other companies have begun to push for banning their companies from working in GA and the other states.  In essence punishing the govt and people of GA for trying to make the voting fair and equal.

    The covid vaccine is being shot out in mass everyday and we are still under lockdowns and told to avoid people and wear masks at all times.  For those who don't see the problem here nothing I say will make you realize how stupid this is.  I have gotten my 1st vaccine and I only wear a mask when absolutely needed.  

    Our kids are still being kept at home and taught from a distance but the illegal immigrant kids in San Diego county are being given in person instruction by the same teachers unions who say that is dangerous and have fought against going back to class.  Why are the tax dollars being paid by parents in San Diego being used to educate illegal immigrants in person but it is too dangerous for the children of those parents to go back to class?

    I will sum the past 3 months with this final paragraph.  Trump preached America first and his policies and negotiations with other countries put the interests of America first in ever way.  We became energy independent and saw gas prices stay below $2/gallon a majority of his term in office.  We saw the flow of illegals into the country slow to a trickle (about 850/day).  We saw jobs created and unemployment hit the lowest it has ever been across all demographics.  We saw major corporations return to America to produce their products which was a huge boost and led to the best economy we have ever had.  But last Nov he was "voted" out because he was mean and tweeted things!  Since Biden took office thousands of jobs have been lost, unemployment is rising, illegal immigration has sky rocketed (now almost 6,000/day), big companies are leaving for other countries to avoid the coming tax hikes, violence is on the rise, and policies being proposed will sink us trillions upon trillions into further debt.  3 full months into 2021 and at this rate we will be lucky to make it to December.

Biden and his first primetime appearance!

 

I took time about four days ago to listen to our fearless leader Joe Biden address the nation for the first time officially.  I wanted to make this blog to cover what was said and my thoughts on it.  I went into the speech with low expectations but open to being surprised. Lets get going!

The first statement he made was "A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked, denials for days, weeks, then months."  As I expected his first point was to point fingers and say Trump did not act fast enough, which we know has been proven false.  He followed that up by pointing out his concern by pulling his "card" out of his pocket which he carries at all times with the most up to date number of "Americans who have died from COVID." He makes sure to add "That's more deaths than in World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War and 9/11 combined."  While an accurate statement it is comparing apples to cars.  Wars are nothing like a communicable disease.  He moves onto the human aspect of isolation and job loss due to the restrictions placed by governments across the US and mainly in states or cities run by liberal Democrats.  

In the next section of the speech he moves onto the vaccine.  He states when he took over "this country didn't have nearly enough vaccine supply to vaccinate all or anywhere near all of the American public" while forgetting the vaccines were created during Operation Warp Speech under President Trump and when he took power there was only 2 vaccines and they had just began being distributed and administered one month earlier.  He praises the companies, and rightly so, while at the same time taking credit for the vaccine being shipped and administered when he simply took over the process in its early phase and followed the same plan already in place.  He then talked about his "plan" to open vaccination centers across the US but did not give any firm plan forward.  

Then we get to the real meat of what he wanted to say.  He says "in the coming weeks, we will issue further guidance on what you can and cannot do once fully vaccinated to lessen the confusion, to keep people safe, and encourage more people to get vaccinated."  This statement is skillfully crafted to encourage getting vaccinated while at the same time issuing a backhanded threat of more lockdowns and restrictions if we as Americans choose to not get vaccinated.  He then adds "If we all do this, if we do our part, if we do this together, by July the 4th, there's a good chance you, your families and friends, will be able to get together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout or barbeques and celebrate Independence Day."  How freaking nice of him to give us independence day for complying with big governments demands.  He goes on further to state "Because if we don't stay vigilant and the conditions change and we may have to reinstate restrictions to get back on track" aka do what we say or else.

He concludes with "God bless you all and please, God, give solace to all those people who lost someone.  And may God protect our troops.  Thank you for taking the time and listening.  I look forward to seeing you."  No God Bless America?  Not a big shock to me but there we have it.  

Here is my thoughts on the virus and vaccine.  Just like the masks and other precautions I believe it should be every single Americans right to do or not do any of these things.  The good news is Biden made it through the 30 min without completely botching it.

The pen is mightier than the sword

 

Our country has a long history of Presidents signing executive orders to dictate the direction of our country.  Most notably FDR signed 3728 executive orders in his 12 years in office.  The second most was by George Washington at 2553.  But in my lifetime, since 1979, the highest number was 381 by Reagan and 364 by Clinton.  The lowest number was 166 by George H.W. Bush.  These orders are issued using the stroke of a pen to push through policy that may or may not be able to get voted into law by congress.  Donald Trump signed seven executive orders from the time of his inauguration on Jan 20, 2017 until the end of that month.  Obama signed nine in the same timeframe.  Bush and Clinton both signed two.  Our new President Joe Biden while on the campaign trail was quoted as saying "Some of my Republican friends and some of my Democratic friends even occasionally say, "Well, if you can't get the votes by executive order, you're going to do something." Things you can't do by executive order unless you're a dictator. We're a democracy. We need consensus."  He was discussing the possibility of signing an executive order to raise taxes on the rich but the one statement that stand out here is "Things you can't do by executive order unless you're a dictator".  Why does this stand out?  The answer is easily found, from Jan 20 through the end of the month Joe Biden signed 45 executive orders.  That is vastly more executive orders than all the Presidents of my lifetime combined in the same timeframe!

He has signed orders stopping the Keystone pipeline, which has allowed us to be energy independent, this caused the immediate loss of jobs for many unionized workers.  He rejoined the Paris climate accord which forces us to pay million if not billions of dollars "cleaning" up our fossil fuel usage and giving money to other countries.  He signed an order repealing title IX which allowed women's sports to disallow trans women, aka men, from competing and winning scholarships, this places girls at a disadvantage immediately.  He also signed an order allowing trans men and women to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their "preference".  He stopped funding for construction of the border wall.  All of these things hurt America and put our lives at risk.  

So why is he on such a quick signing rampage?  My guess is he is beholden to the far left and their agenda.  Many of these actions have pushed that agenda to the forefront of our politics.  This becomes dangerous as it is my belief that more than half of the country and maybe as much as two-thirds do not support these ideals.  I have always been a supporter of the President as when the President succeeds we succeed.  I always try to give the benefit of the doubt to the new President until they pass policy or support ideals that I disagree with.  So when Biden took over I was telling all of my Trump supporting friends to give him a chance, maybe he will do ok.  But here we are ten days into the new administration and I have watched him sign so many things which counter my views and things I support.  We have seen the censorship of conservatism in big tech and media.  We have seen the conservative "twitter" called Parler removed for allowing free speech on its platform.  Youtube accounts, twitter accounts, and many other social media sites have removed conservative accounts and cost prominent conservative posters hundreds and in some cases thousands of followers.  This is a problem.

As a conservative it worries me that these things are happening so quickly.  I have a really bad feeling things will end badly.  We need to fight back and prevent the silencing of any voices.  Our freedoms are at threat daily.  I am not sure how to fight back but when I figure it out I will hopefully be able to share my views and get your opinions.  

Unity and equality for all......No not you

 

In 8 days we will see a new President take the seat in the White House.  I didn't vote for him but I am willing to give him a chance to prove my concerns and fears wrong.  I have stated many times before I think he is simply a place holder for 5-6 months and then he will step down making Kamala Harris our first Black female President.  Why is that important?  Well the Democratic party has for years made their platform "The first..." They have pandered to minority groups for votes and then gotten into power and done nothing for those groups.

President elect Biden gave a speech the other day expressing how he is going to help small businesses recover from the Covid lockdowns.  The thing he did not address was that his party controls the cities and states which have had the worst response to Covid, imposed the most restrictions and cause the most deaths based on policies they have put in place.  The one thing he said that struck me the most was this "Our priority will be Black, Latino, Asian, and Native American owned small businesses, women-owned businesses, and finally having equal access to resources needed to reopen and rebuild."  I have no problem supporting those businesses, my problem is excluding other racial groups from the same aid opportunities.  The Democrats scream about racial injustice and equality but at every single turn exclude and put policy in place which places other racial groups at a disadvantage in order to benefit others.  This is systemic racism.  Putting systems in place for the benefit of one racial group over another is the definition of systemic racism.  So why are the same people who have screamed for equal justice now silent?  The answer is simple, it does not fit their idea of equality.

We have seen with the lockdowns the hypocrisy of these people.  The do as I say not as I do mentality.  The justice for me but not for you ideas have set us back to a time where nobody is equal.  Some of these equality advocates have petitioned for segregated dorms on college campuses, black only rec centers, and even supporting financial help through the crisis for minorities only.  Biden's campaign rhetoric was all about unity and healing the country but his actions are about dividing us further.  He and the far left are doing this to restrict our rights and squash the conservative viewpoint.  Just this week every social media platform banned the sitting President of the United States from their platforms, this is not right.  This is censorship.  Never in our history has one viewpoint been censored while others are allowed to continue.  Why is it people are not standing up and stopping this?

We saw people storm our capitol building in DC, which I covered in my last blog, and we saw lawless riots in the streets all summer.  These were cause by the division being sewed in the media and through our politics.  Only when we realize the government works for the people, the people don't subject to the government will we begin to stop this shift in our political system.  If we don't stand up soon I am truly afraid we will lose everything we know and all the freedoms we enjoy.  For now I will pray for the best and hope we eventually get to unity and equality for all not just some.

Mostly peaceful riots

 So all summer I watched cities burn in the name of "social justice" and police reform.  The media spend weeks and weeks telling me these riots were "mostly peaceful protests."  I would shake my head, laugh and wonder to myself when the extremists on the right would stand up and fight.  I wasn't wishing for it or condoning it but I knew it was only a matter of time before the other side used the same tactics to push their view points and try to make a statement.  Well it didn't take long into 2021 for my thoughts to become reality.  On Jan 6,2021 a large group of Trump "supporters" rallied in Washington to support the President in his election fight.  I put supporters in quotes because there is speculation some of them were not true supporters but instead Antifa members who contributed to the BLM riots.  I can't say I agree but the speculation is out there.  After the President gave his speech they marched to the capitol building and it quickly devolved into a riot.  People smashed the doors to the capitol and made their way into the offices of congressional members and even into the chambers of congress.  They did not light fires or spray paint the walls with slogans.  They committed crimes and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  I have always stood by my belief that the media and now big tech are responsible for the division in our country.  If you take time and watch 30 min of each news network you can quickly see their biases and it becomes very clear why their "followers" think the way they do.  

These biases have led to a very divided country.  A country divided by gender, race, religion, ethnicity, and everything else that could make us different from one another.  I do think we can save our society and bring unity and peace back into the country but it is going to take people admitting they are short sighted and hold prejudices towards others unfairly.  It will take people opening their minds and hearts to the fact we are all human and we are all American.  It will take people remembering that the people elected to government offices work for us, they are the public servants not the public rulers.  

The people that stormed the capitol had no right to do so.  One woman was shot and killed by capitol police.  If you watch most major news networks the rioter were right wing Trump supporters who committed insurrection and we cannot possibly let this go on.  They also took time to point out in almost every news story how the BLM riots were met with a more well armed police force and the outcome would have been different if the rioters were mostly black and brown people.  What they did not point out was the mayor or Washington DC, a black female Democrat, had turned down an offer by the federal government to have national guard support the DC police for this rally.  For the BLM rally that support was also offered but she made sure to accept it.  So in my opinion the blame falls squarely on her shoulders, but the main stream media will not even mention that, because she is a Democrat and fits their narrative.  

In the end there is never a right or justified riot.  No matter your cause we are a civilized society and events like the BLM riots and this simply make us hypocrites as both sides point to the others riots and say how they are breaking laws and it isn't right.  In both cases people died.  In both cases laws were broken.  In both cases politicians stood by waiting to pick the bones of the middle and lower class after the battle was over.  Today all we are hearing from the Democrats is them blaming Trump and talking about the 25th amendment and impeaching him.  In 12 days he will be out of office and the Democrats will spend the next few years desecrating his name and good work while in office instead of working to pass the laws and other things they promised their voters.  And that is exactly what is wrong with our system.  They are more concerned with saying the right things instead of doing the right things.  They are more concerned with increasing their wealth than helping us increase ours.  

Do I agree with the riots and storming the capitol?  No I do not.  Do I understand why the BLM and these riots happened?  Yes.  The police have no support and are made to stand by and watch the cities burn.  Until people realize there is consequences for their actions we will see things like this continue.  Until then we can only arm ourselves and hope our neighborhood is not the next one to be targeted.

Californication

 

When I was growing up California was the land of bright lights and the path to fame and fortune.  It was the ideal place to live a life in a state which has amazing weather, access to beaches, and an overall easy life.  As I have grown I have seen the slow decay of this once great state.  Sure the politics in California was always somewhat left leaning but it was limited to San Francisco, Los Angeles and very few other major metropolitan cities.  In my forty-one years on Earth I have seen the spread of far left woke liberalism infect the very fabric of this beautiful place.  The picture in this blog is just one example of where I feel they have gone way off the map.  It is a picture of "drag queen" story hour at a local library in California.  In essence a man dressed in drag goes to a local library and reads books which encourage the LGBTQIA+ lifestyle and make it a normal thing.  As you can see these kids range in age from toddlers to pre-teens.  

So why am I writing this blog today you might ask.  The answer is simple, the California school names advisory committee released a spreadsheet of 42 schools in the state they wanted to rename and the reasons behind the need for change.  In the Los Angeles Times article it says "The renaming committee began its presentation with an homage to the Ramaytush Ohlone people, whose homeland is now occupied by the city of San Francisco."  They go on to explain the names of the schools the committee had flagged for removal were chosen "because of alleged associations with slaveholding, colonization or oppression."  The forty-two schools make up a third of all the public schools in San Francisco.  I wanted to highlight some of the names and why they want them removed.

The first name on the list that caught my attention was Abraham Lincoln High School.  The reason they want the change:

"Abraham Lincoln is not seen as much of a hero at all among many American Indian Nations and Native peoples of the United States, as the majority of his policies proved to be detrimental to them. For instance, the Homestead Act and the Pacific Railway Act of 1862 helped precipitate the construction of the transcontinental railroad, which led to the significant loss of land and natural resources, as well as the loss of lifestyle and culture, for many Indigenous peoples. In addition, rampant corruption in the Indian Office, the precursor of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, continued unabated throughout Lincoln’s term and well beyond. In many cases, government-appointed Indian agents outright stole resources that were supposed to go to the tribes. In other cases, the Lincoln administration simply continued to implement discriminatory and damaging policies, like placing Indians on reservations. Beginning in 1863, the Lincoln administration oversaw the removal of the Dine' Nation (Navajo) and the Mescalero Apaches from the New Mexico Territory, forcing the Dine' to march the "Long Walk" of 450 miles to Bosque Redondo—a brutal journey. Eventually, more than 2,000 died before a treaty was signed. Also responsible for the Dakota 38+2, largest mass hanging in US history"

In essence he was a racist.

The next name was George Washington High School.  The reason was much simpler, "slave owner, colonizer" that was it.  No further explanation needed I guess.  Lowell High School is next.  Named after James Russell Lowell.  The LA Times states "He was an abolitionist but depicted Black people unfavorably in his writings."  So again the reason, he is a racist.  Everett Middle school named after Senator Edward Everett.  The spreadsheet reasoning is "His pro-slavery stance was unpopular with his constituents."  Racist. Herbert Hoover Middle School takes the next hit.  They say "Racist President- accepting of white supremacy. While serving as Secretary of Commerce under white supremacist Wilson, he developed a campaign for exclusionary zoning (which developed into Redlining under the FHA), headed the Better Homes in America org, which pushed for the Federal government to solidify and expand existing segregation in the North and West."  

Roosevelt Middle School names after President Teddy Roosevelt, ""The Richmond School was renamed in honor of Theodore Roosevelt at a school board meeting on February 10, 1910.    Theodore Roosevelt - opposed civil rights and suffrage for Black folks. FDR -  refused to support anti-lynching bill (proposed by his wife) and other racist policies/views (including racial engineering and limiting migration dependent on race). Roosevelt ordered the forced relocation of more than 100,000 Japanese-Americans to concentration camps after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. As Vox reports, “Japanese American internment is almost universally considered one of the most egregious things the United States has done to an entire ethnic group.” It took a Supreme Court ruling to release the detainees, most of whom could read, write, and speak English, and only a fraction of whom had spent much time in Japan"

You get the picture.  Here are other names on the list that I feel are ridiculous.  Paul Revere K-8, Thomas Edison Charter Academy, Garfield Elementary named after James Garfield, Jefferson Elementary, Fancis Scott Key Elementary, and several other former Presidents.  But don't think the liberals wont eat their own also on the list are Willie L. Brown Jr. middle School.  Of him they say "Responsible for much of gentrification in SF while he was mayor" and Dianne Feinstein Elementary "Manilatown, she's responsible for the eviction of a whole Pilipino neighborhood, and the police brutality, allowed police dogs to attack Filipino veteran elders. She repeatedly protected and flew the confederate flag in front of sf city hall. https://sfbayview.com/2019/04/its-true-as-san-francisco-mayor-dianne-feinstein-did-repeatedly-fly-a-confederate-flag-in-front-of-city-hall/. Even though this flag was hung before her when a Black activist took it down, she called for his prosecution, and put the confederate flag back up instead of leaving it down. Dianne Fienstien was also again same sex partnership and advocated against same sex partnership/marriage."  Both of those people are not even woke enough for the leftist mob.  

So there it is, anyone who was ever labeled racist, slave owner, colonizer, or any other label the left doesn't like must have every single instance of their names stripped from history.  This is how the left wants it.  And as we saw this summer if they don't get their way they will just tear down the statues or burn the buildings down to get their way.  If you choose to stand opposed and highlight the great works of these men and women then you are also a racist colonizing slave owner and you just refuse to admit it.  I have decided to include a link to the spreadsheet here so you can go see the reasons for yourself and decide which side of the isle you are on.  For me a look back on the good, bad, beautiful and ugly of our history helps us to remember all the strides we have taken and just how great of a nation we have become.  In todays society it is so easy to get bombarded by the name calling, accusations of racism, mockery of our founders, and those who are willing to only point out the "systemic racism" of America.  We as patriots need to stand up and push back against this or we will lose everything.  The final thing I wish to share is something I shared on Facebook and think it perfectly explains why I wanted to write this blog:

THE DAY THE POLICE WERE NO LONGER NEEDED

On August 19, 1966 - Chinese students launched a fight for social justice to fight for the rights of the oppressed in China. It was widely believed that the 'patriarchal system' in China had been created by the 1% and held down women, minorities, and the working class. The students cried out for a revolution and change, and consequentially launched the infamous Chinese Cultural Revolution.

Students put a red band around their arm to stand in solidarity with the oppressed and called for a change on old ideas that they called the FOUR OLDS. The Four Olds were: Old Customs, Old Culture, Old Habits, and Old Ideas.

The movement was supported by the Chinese media.

Mass demonstrations and looting by the students ensued.

Statues were torn down.

Chinese architecture was destroyed.

Classical literature and Chinese paintings were torn apart and burned.

Temples were desecrated.

The Cemetery of Confucius was attacked.

The corpse of the 76th-generation Duke Yansheng was removed from its grave and hung from a tree.

Wealthy homes were attacked and destroyed.

Many families' long-kept genealogy books were burned to ashes.

All of history, in short, was to be removed and replaced. This was the central meaning of Cultural Revolution: That China was going to destroy every trace of its bourgeois (privileged) past and replace it with a new culture built on the principles of Maoism and Marxism.

Communist leaders like President Liu Shaoqi were taken out of power and replaced with men Mao believed were not critical of his reign.

Public leaders who were considered to be oppressive were tried by angry mobs and vigilantes.

Three days later, August 22, 1966, a central directive was issued to stop police intervention. The police were disbanded in the city and the students formed a community solution called the RED GUARD. The RED GUARDS policed the communities and punished anyone who did not agree with their ideas. Even people that supported the movement, but had bad thoughts ("wrong thinking") could be punished.

Though many Christians supported the movement in the beginning, they quickly became the number one target of the RED GUARDS and public trials were held to condemn them to death.

Many of those that were on board with the cause of the rebellion, in the beginning, saw that it was not really what they had signed up for, but by then it was too late. The power that the Red Guard wanted had already been given.

More people died during the cultural revolution in China than any war, famine, or natural disaster in the history of man. An estimated 20 to 30 million people were killed."

This is why it is important.  You can substitute America or United States for China in this and see a very real and scary reflection of what is happening today.  Please lets love one another, unite against a common evil, and begin to show the world through example that we still are the greatest nation in the world.

Tale of two viruses

 

Covid-19 has turned 2020 into a tale of two viruses.  On almost every media outlet we are told the death tolls and fed fear about the infection rate.  But there is another side to this issue and that is what hardly anyone else is talking about, the survivability rate.  We are bombarded daily by the newest death toll, lockdowns from govt officials, told if we don't all wear masks we are trying to kill off the elderly and high risk people, and given numbers which go up and down on an almost hourly basis.  The problem here is very obvious to anyone willing to verify sources and validate claims, NOBODY knows anything for sure!

At the beginning of 2020 Covid-19 reached American shores, or so we were told.  I know some people personally who had symptoms and such long before Jan 2020.  The list of protections included masks, social distancing, hand sanitizer, and proper hygiene.  At first we were told by govt officials and medical experts not to go and buy masks as they were not effective against this strain of virus.  Then a few months later we were told masks were the only way to prevent yourself from getting the virus and they had only told us they were not so the medical front line workers would have access to the masks they needed to protect themselves.  Then about a month or so later other medical experts came out claiming masks could not protect you and the CDC shifted to protecting others as the reason for the masks.  It has gone on like this all year.  The only things that were constant were social distancing and washing your hands.  

As we reached March we saw widespread lockdowns and were told 15 days to slow the spread of Covid to ensure the hospitals did not get overwhelmed.  The period for the lockdown varied by state with some staying locked down for months on end.  These decisions crushed local businesses while giants like Walmart and Amazon made billions.  It should be noted that those giants are also the ones backing lockdowns until a vaccine is available, wonder why.  So did the lockdowns help?  Yes it did slow the spread and allow our hospitals to stock up and prepare for virus better.  As states began opening up we saw a rise in cases as expected.  The hospitals did not get overwhelmed yet some state governors refused to open things back up.  This caused a massive protest against the lockdowns.  When that happened the news told us that all the business owners were putting us all at risk being out in large groups protesting.  Yet when there were large groups protesting police brutality the media  applauded these people and claimed the virus would not be spread there.  I think this is the first virus in history to be so socially conscious.  

So here we are Dec 2020 and I am still seeing people on social media spread fear of a virus that has a survivability rate that exceeds 98%.  Daily they post about the latest death numbers, how it isn't a flu and should be feared, and mock those of us who are looking at this from a statistical and real perspective.  They say that looking at it that way is discounting those who have died or will die from this illness.  As we saw from Thanksgiving a few days ago people are tired of not being around family and friends.  People are sick and tired of isolation.  People just want to get on with our lives.  I have yet to hear anyone who looks at the actual statistics say that masks, social distancing and protecting those most vulnerable should not be done and don't make a difference.  

So which of these two viruses is reality and which is not.  Truth is both exist and it is up to every single person to decide their level of comfort and what precautions and risks they are willing to take.  I happen to fall into the camp that knows the virus is not going away.  I understand the large impact these restrictions and lockdowns are having on communities all over the US.  I have had family members get the virus, be hospitalized, and make it through even though they were in multiple high risk categories.  I know people who have lost loved ones are impacted but also know that other factors are causing loss of life as well.  Alcoholism, domestic violence, suicide and homicides are all on the rise.  As people lose their business, jobs, income, homes, and marriages who is going to protect them?  The most honest answer for all of this is simple; Wear a mask, social distance as much as possible, was your damn hands, avoid being around people if you feel sick, and most of all stop being afraid.  This virus will be with us forever and we need to look it in the face and say we will not live in fear.  Our govt will not stop us from living our lives.  Businesses need to stand up and be willing to open despite the risks.  Only if we unite against tyrannical leaders unjust policies can we ever see some form of normality again.

How 2020 has turned into 1984

 

In America Thanksgiving means something.  For some it is a terrible day of oppression and the slaughter of Native Americans.  For others it is a celebration of our freedoms and a time for family and friends to get together and share a great meal and great memories.  But this is 1984, oh sorry I mean 2020, and as we know from all that has happened this year we can not expect anything to go as usual.  In the last month we had an election, which is still not finalized, and the hope of many was that the results would put the Covid-19 risks to rest and allow us to return to normal life, fat chance.

As Thanksgiving has drawn closer we have seen an increase in Governors flexing their political muscle and imposing their will on the citizens in their states.  In NY Gov. Cuomo got into a shouting match with a reporter about the schools closing down again despite the risk being almost non-existent to the children of the NY City school systems.  Gov Newsome in California has imposed lockdown restrictions on his citizens, closing businesses, and forcing curfews at night.  I watched a video today of the police in Los Angeles rolling down the street to "enforce" the curfew.  One officer gets out of his armored car and approaches a man in a robe on his front porch.  He tells the man to go inside due to the curfew.  The guy says something about it being his front porch at which point the officer tackles him and shouts he is under arrest for violating the Gov's curfew order.  THE GUY WAS ON HIS FRONT PORCH!  In Pennsylvania the governor put an order in place closing stores and also prohibiting alcohol sales after 5pm tomorrow.  Does any of this seem like Big Brother from 1984 is actually happening here in 2020?

You may be asking Why should I care?  Well it is simple, the governors are taking away the freedom we are preparing to celebrate!  We as Americans should have the freedom to go to a store to buy food for the celebration, booze to drink, and other supplies you may need in your home.  How many freedoms will we give up before it is to late?  Well I did see a business owner in Boston who had police come into his business and try to close him down.  They said he was in violation of the shut down order issues by the Gov.  He told them who reported him because he is lawfully allowed to confront his accuser.  They refused to answer and he then told them to leave his business and if they wanted to shut him down to come back with a warrant!  What did the cops do? They left.  They realized they had no authority to tell this guy he could not be in his business.  That is exactly how we need to handle this tsunami of authoritarian control.  

1984 was a work of fiction, 2020 is not.  We are being restricted in tiny steps more and more.  It started with lockdowns in March, then went into mandatory mask wearing, then we were told we couldn't worship at churches while thousands rioted in the streets, and now we have come full circle and lockdowns are immanent again.  If the lockdowns worked the first time why is it needed again?  If it didn't work why are we doing it again?  The answer is simple, authoritarians trying to usurp our constitutionally given rights.  They want us to Never Trust Your Own Eyes, Believe What You Are Told.

    When I was growing up I used to love cartoons.  At the time the adult humor and innuendo went right over my head.  History has shown that cartoons have a strange way of mimicking real life.  As we roll into election day 2020 I am taken back to one of my favorite cartoons, Pinky and the Brain.  For those who have no idea what I am talking about it was basically a show about two lab rats.  The Brain was the hyper intelligent one who always had a new plan to take over the world.  Pinky on the other hand was a dim witted rat who, to be nice, wouldn't remember to breathe if it was not an automatic reflex by his body.  So every single show these two mice would attempt to take over the world by one nefarious plot after another only to fail in the end and end up right back in the cage they started in.  Funny thing about the cartoon is how much it reminds me of our political system and the hypocrisy of it all.  

    Every 4 years both parties hatch a plan to advance their candidates into various political offices.  With months and months of television advertising, lying, and most of all spending small fortunes these elite people stand atop podiums and tell us how they "know what its like to be us and how they are going to make our lives better"  In the end nothing every changes.  The rich stay rich while the middle and poor classes grow and shrink.  The only thing these politicians do is divide the country into groups and try to tell the group why they need to get their vote.  Each side tells their followers that they are the intelligent group of commoners and the other side is the dumb peasants who know nothing.  While the black and white nature of these comments is meant to empower their base to get to the polls it only divides and hurts people.  Truth is there are intelligent and stupid people in both camps.  

    There is a reason that Donald Trump won in 2016, people were sick of being treated like pawns in this political game.  He represented everything that ran counter to politicians.  While being rich he still represented the common man.  As that election got closer we saw lifelong politicians on both sides lash out at him and try to destroy his character.  But the American people knew what they were getting when they voted him in.  We knew he was brash, loud, and a total spectacle to behold.  But more than that he was NOT a politician.  America came out of the Obama years more divided than ever.  So for all of his first term in office the left has made a point to find reasons to impeach him and remove him from office, all of which in the end showed they were the ones guilty of all they tried to hang on him.  As we move into election night tomorrow we are seeing the same tactics.  Calling him racist, sexist, homophobic, a tyrant and a dictator.  All accusations with no evidence.  On the other hand the right is claiming Joe Biden is unfit for office as well.  The far left has decided to push him across the finish line and then move to radicalize the presidency.  

    No matter what side you are on if you choose not to educate yourself and dig out the actual facts you will be blindly following The Brain and doing as you are told despite The Brain never following through on his empty promises and plans.  I have been thinking a lot the past few days about our future.  For decades African Americans have voted almost exclusively Democrat.  There are states who have voted Republican or Democrat for decades and some have turned into shit hole states due to those policies.  I fear for our future and generations to come.  And as I go to bed tonight the last thing I will hear in my mind is this:

Pinky: What are we going to do tomorrow night Brain?

Brain: Same thing we do every night Pinky, TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

Seven Deadly Sins- Gluttony

    

    Back after a long labor day weekend and I could not think of a more deserving sin than Gluttony!  So the basic definition of gluttony is "over-indulgence and over-consumption of food, drink, or wealth items, particularly as status symbols."  As with the first two sins I have written about the connections to current American society could not be more obvious.  In the past fifty years we have seen obesity in America nearly triple.  In the early 60's 14% of Americans had a body mass index over 30.  Today that number is between 38-40%.  That alone is should raise some eye brows but it does not.  In America we waste around eleven billion pounds of food every year, that number is about 30-40% of our food supply.  With that in mind why would we see such weight gain while simultaneously wasting so much?  The only reason I can think of is that we are over producing and are not willing to share what we have with countries that have far less than we do.  

    

    Having been in the military and deployed to Afghanistan I got to see first hand how third world countries live.  The people there live in houses with no running water, no electricity, and most of the time no roof on their houses.  And I could see all of that from the village closest to the US Military base, which I have been told has been pushed forward and brought closer to what we consider normal.  The idea that we as Americans have so much while others have so little leads many people to advocate for these impoverished countries.  The biggest problem I see with that is we also have a huge population of homeless and less fortunate that we need to take care of first.  11.8% of our population live in a state of poverty.  Many struggle to put food on the table as we discard billions of pounds a year.  When we think of gluttony we think of over eating first.  With all the food we produce we should have little to no one going without a meal every day.  In school hot lunches are a privilege not a right, yet prisoners are given 3 meals a day at tax payer expense.  This is something we need to fix.

    The next thing we see in excess is wealth.  America is one of the wealthiest countries on earth.  We have no reason to have such a high percentage of people living in poverty.  And that is what most leftists want people to focus on.  It is not wrong but giving people free stuff will only increase the number of people living in poverty.  As more people are given everything the number of people who work to support that system dwindles.  Once there are more takers than givers the system will collapse.  That is why politicians such as Bernie Sanders have consistently failed to win the nomination while running for President.  The policies pushed by him and others would only bankrupt America and drive us further away from being a first world country.  We have seen rebellions of people claiming the top earners in America are the evil villains as they own a huge percent of the wealth in our country.  Truth is most of them earned it and work hard for many more hours a day to maintain it.  Not long ago we were a country that believed in hard work and earning your keep.  Now people play victim and look for the easy route to a lawsuit or hang their hopes on winning the lottery.

    As I have watched our society begin to crumble and have seen the rise of hate, distain of success, envy of what others have, and violent outbursts I find myself wondering how fast this will fall or if we still have time to stop it and rebuild our great country.  We see people eat until they cant stuff any more into their mouths, starve for likes and fame on social media platforms, greed and envy turn brother against brother, and most of all the selfishness that comes with thinking the world owes you and you don't need to work to succeed.  A quick look at history will tell you when every great civilization has gotten too big and too successful the seven deadly sins creep in slowly and then before they know it they fall.  We have gotten to that place here in America.  We have gotten to a point of almost no return.  You may not be able to change the world but every action you take creates ripples that will grow larger through time.  Be nice to your fellow man, share everything you can, and most of all be aware of what you are doing.  Take time to smile at someone today.  Take time to share a meal with someone less fortunate.  Change starts with us, but then again maybe I am just a glutton for punishment!

Seven Deadly Sins- Envy

    

    In the second of seven blogs about the seven deadly sins and how I see our country and society today falling into them I decided the next logical step from Pride is Envy.  The definition of envy is: A feeling of discontent and ill will because of another's advantages, possessions, etc.; resentful dislike of another who has something that one desires.  If you read the definition and cannot immediately see the connection to what is going on in todays world I hope to be able to highlight what I feel exemplifies how envy is a major contributing factor.

    The term "white privilege" was coined in 1988 by Peggy McIntosh.  She wrote a paper titled "White Privilege and Male Privilege: A Personal Account of Coming to See Correspondences Through Work in Women's Studies."  In this paper she gives 46 different examples of White Privilege.  Some of these include:

"I can, if I wish, arrange to be in the company of people of my race most of the time"

"I can avoid spending time with people whom I was trained to mistrust and who have learned to mistrust my kind or me"

"If I should need to move, I can be pretty sure of renting or purchasing housing in an area which I can afford and in which I would want to live"

"I can be reasonably sure that my neighbors in such a location will be neutral or pleasant to me"

"I can go shopping alone most of the time, fairly well assured that I will not be followed or harassed by store detectives"

In the years since she wrote this paper the term has referred to a "Power structure inherent in American society that disproportionately benefits white people while putting people of color at a disadvantage."  This perceived power structure is the main driving force behind the envy destroying our society today.  Black people are raised to believe that due to the atrocities of slavery in the past they are starting from a place of immediate disadvantage.  That for every step a white person makes to get ahead they will have to take five.  They are often told the system is against them.  That the white people look down on them and will always harbor racism in their hearts, even if that is not true for almost all Americans.  These factors alone are the physical respresentation of "A feeling of discontent and ill will because of another's advantage".  By raising children to always feel inferior it creates the next generation of discontent and ill will.  Only when we begin to raise our children to feel as though they can achieve anything no matter what skin color they were born with can we begin to stop this sense of envy.

    During the 2011 Occupy movement the slogan we are the 99% was widely used.  This movement took to the streets to protest what they felt was the inequality of the rich, or the 1%, or in other words the upper class being better than the lower class.  It was a movement towards class warfare.  The idea that we must rise up and "Eat the rich" or take their wealth and give it to the poor to meet this perceived equality is another real world example of envy.  We were told by the leaders of the movement that the 1% should be taxed at almost 100% to ensure the poor could be raised up and brought our of their economic hardship.  In reality that would do nothing but create a greater wealth vacuum and ultimately lead to the death of millions.  Being envious of others wealth, poccessions, houses, etc. leads to hate.  This sense of inequality can lead you to feel hopeless and that can lead to crime and violence.

    So how can we overcome envy and begin to create real change?  I propose we teach our next generation the greatness of our country.  The fact that we are the one of the only countries in the world that has ended slavery and taken strides to make equality and founding principle of our society.  Stop teaching the under privileged that they cannot overcome their hardships.  Stop highlighting skin color as a benefit or disadvantage.  Stop making criminals into heroes.  Teach our children to respect real heroes like police officers, firefighters, EMT's, and soldiers.  Celebrate our freedoms and ensure that future generations know what our constitution says and why it is important.  Instead of teaching how evil our founders were teach about the great things they did even though they were imperfect.  Push for two parent household and show the benefits of having strong family values.  Teach good morals and find a reason to bring God, Allah, or some kind of faith into our lives.  Only when we do these things can we overcome not only envy but all of the other evils that are destroying our once great country.
